2. "Oy-uhl", the way God intended.
My grandfather, from Alabama by way of Texas, used to say: "Oaaaaaahhhhhhhullllllllllll". I'd never heard anyone take so long to say a one-syllable word.

I have an undergrad degree in Theatre, and Voice & Diction classes enabled me to hear how I sounded to other people. It wasn't an attractive accent, y'all!
