Isn't it great.... When one of your cats comes into the office...
Dances around your feet a little...

And just plops down cause they want to be near you...

2. Mine liked to sit on the desk, next to the computer.
Either she liked being near me, or she found my moving fingers entertaining.:loveya:

9. You're probably right.
Dental surgery transformed this rescued cat from a reclusive little beast into practically a lap cat. My biggest thrill was when she started jumping up into the chair with me.:loveya:

30. It took me about a year to coax the one cat we
took in with the others to let me touch her...

Now she sleeps on me... Dances around me... and has to always be close...

It was so worth the effort...

31. I know. I've been there.
I fed this kitty outside for more than three months before I finally panicked, because the weather was getting bad, and resorted to using a Have-a-Heart trap, that I borrowed from the animal hospital, to bring her inside. She never felt like going out again, but liked to sit in the bay window and just observe. And she only did that when she was alone with me. In this pic, she's about two feet from the little kitty house I got her, so she always had a safe place. So you can imagine how pleased I was when she came to me. It really was worth it, dental surgery and all, and I wish that I'd known she needed this right away. I know how you feel. She knew I was her friend, but it took time to develop trust.:-)

35. Awww. That must be rewarding. She sounds like she's also come so far.
My Catlin (though I found out her original name was Isiah :eyes:) would only sit in my chair, with me, but it became complicated when my little dog insisted on being there, as well, after his sister died. He's snoring there, t the moment. And he's the pic on my sig, though he really doesn't stick his tongue out, LOL! And she liked to stalk him! :D All my guys have sad stories, but hers was the saddest, since she'd been left on her own, so gaining her trust was the most rewarding.:-)

22. Yes, I loved meeting two of the four. The third was curious about me.
I was content with my interaction with 1/2 your household. The other 1/2 loves you best, there's no doubting that.

27. We've had one of our kitties 13 years.
She sleeps on my pillow or on my stomach or between my feet. She purrs and rubbs on me and talks to me.

My husband, who has been a constant and loving presence in her life for 13 years, usually gets hisses when he tried to pet her.

She's a one-person kitty. Sounds like yours is too.

7. I agree.
A house without at least one cat doesn't feel like a home. My two four-footed monsters are a joy and such good company.

17. my girl used to be a pest -in the lap, on the keyboard-- until we
worked out a solution, she lies on the desk next to my right arm (mouse arm). She sorta dozes using my arm as a pillow or something to rest her body against. Purrs unless she's sound asleep. So I have to keep a clear space on right side of desk for cat AND mouse. When I go to the computer she always comes and takes her position.

I probably wouldn't be able to focus.

Now, that chicken that used to check in every morning, she was a pain!

34. Here's what my kitties do:
1. Goldmine will walk across my lap and stick his butt in my face, purring loud all the way, until I pet him and scratch him on the face. Then he will sit on my lap, crossing over the sofa armrest, and reallly spreading out all over (he's FWAT!).

2. Raphael will walk up behind the couch and start howling for attention. I stick my hand out, and he sits up and headbutts it. My arm gets tired, so I pull it back in. He jumps up and settles on the couch cushion behind me, kneading and purring all the way.
