I just bought a new Mustang GT. It has no ashtray or lighter.

I just noticed the other day, since I don't smoke. It does have an outlet where the lighter would be, so I guess someone could stick a lighter in it.

"Volvo automobiles sold in North America do not have ashtrays or cigarette lighters as standard equipment."

I guess they've never been to Quebec, where everyone still smokes everywhere all the time.

Fuck it, if Ford doesn't want to give you an ashtray, just open the window and flick the ashes outside.

10. My car doesn't either and I smoke too. Good for you if lack

of an ashtray will make you quit. I found a glass that fits in my cup holder perfectly and I use that for an ashtray.

But, I've only had 3 cigarettes in my car since I bought it - which is about .005 of the number I would have had if there was an ashtray.

Part of it is the lack of an ashtray and the other part is I just don't want to hear the grief from my kids if they smell smoke in the car.
