Harry Potter's lineage
While I was sitting through the newest HP flick I got to wondering about HP family. We all know that his parents are dead, as shown in the story. But what of his other relatives? It then occured to me that we have followed his family's adventures for decades.
- Did you know that Harry Potter's grandfather was a doctor in the Korean War and served with a MASH unit? Some of his stories were recounted on TV. His name was Col. Henry Potter.
- His great-grandfather was a wealthy businessman during the depression. His attempt to take over the small town of Bedford Falls and have renamed 'Potterville' was recounted in 'It's a Wonderful Life'.
- And finally his great-great grandmother was the spinner of tales of wascally wabbits, specifically one Peter Rabbit. That would be Beatrix Potter.
So as you can see, the Potter clan has a long history in the American culture.

1. And it's the scurvy little spider Potter that is the common link
between Harry and Voldemort.
