I watched The Late, Late show with Craig Ferguson last night. That

guy is really funny! I thought his opening monologue was so much better than Leno's or Letterman's and it was hilarious.

I work nights so I had never seen this show. I am definitely going to Tivo it from now on.

1. yeah, he's funny

His monologue is usually more of a story than a series of jokes. That's nice. I used to like Conan, but he's become a sad parody of himself, it seems... all his sound effects and the like.

I like REM too.

2. Ferguson wasn't as funny when the show was new

But he's been on awhile now, and I guess CBS cut him some slack or something. I like his monologues because with the topical stuff he's more of a snarky commenter than a joker like the rest of 'em. And when he interviews, he can zip in a zinger like Letterman.

3. Yes, he is.

If you like him, you may also like Eddie Izzard. He doesn't host a television talk show, but he is a comedian and an actor. He has also guested on Craig Ferguson's show as well. Their humor is almost identical right down to the thing they do where they say something is fact and then start nodding their head letting you know they made it up and it is not true. After that, they'll nod their head again to make it seem like it is true. Both of them have a great sense of humor. Craig Ferguson wrote and sings that theme song too, btw. I thought I would throw that interesting tidbit in there just for fun.

4. yeah, Eddie Izzard is funny too

But he wears too much mascara.
