Good Friday Morning, Everybody!
:donut::hi:
Welcome to an extra early Special Edition of my Good Morning thread today! :bounce:
As you know, today is "Black Friday" and so most all retailers are opening early. Including MY store. So, I have to be there at 7 this AM. x( That's why I'm around so early!

I hope all of you had a GREAT feast yesterday! I know I did! I went to my bosses house for dinner and they had so much food I was in shock! :) Every single one of her family members treated me like I was a member of the family as well, so I felt comfortable immediately. We ate, and ate and then we ate some more! Of course there was TONS of food left and I was told to take as much as I wanted, including a full entire pumpkin pie! So I loaded up again, feeling nauseous the whole time (you know how that is...when you are over full, the sight of food makes you queasy), and left not long after Dallas lost to Denver in overtime. :grr:

Greekspeak is coming home on Saturday! :woohoo::bounce::party: Boy, I can't wait to see HIM!

In all...it was a very good day for me! I hope you had as good a day!

I'm happy I get to say "Good Morning" to you today too! I had a great time, and I hope you did also!

Thank you for the kind words, Miss Shari! :loveya: I'm very happy to be here with everyone as well. In fact, that was one of the "Things I'm Thankful For" I listed yesterday. :hug:

5. Good morning Clint!
Sounds like you had a great Thanksgiving :thumbsup:. I'm glad to hear it.

As for me I celebrated with my roomie and her SO. I had Unturkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, carrots, green beans, corn, rolls and cranberry sauce. Drinks included four Black Russians (Kahlua and Vodka) and sparkling cider, and dessert was Pecan Pie. We went for a walk after the meal, but ended up cutting it short due to the frigid, biting wind. Then we sat down to watch the remake of "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory", which I ended up sleeping through most of (too much booze ). Next thing I knew my roomie was waking me up telling me it was time to get up and get ready to go to work. So, here I am. :shrug:

Sounds like you had a great meal too! I've wondered about that remake. Was it OK? (the parts you DID see anyway?)

9. I only saw the first 1/3 or so
And it was kind of so-so. I'm going to watch it again tomorrow night and see if it's any better later in the movie. When I told my sister, who I talked to earlier in the evening, that I'd rented it she said she was disappointed in it so who knows. :shrug:

17. Don't take my sister's word as law
She didn't say why she didn't like it. It could have been any number of reasons other than the quality. She's a devout Christian and doesn't enjoy movies with violence, foul language, sexual content of any kind, cruelty, etc. Essentially all that leaves is the blandest of "G" rated movies for her.

Hmmm...Well, after you watch it again...let me know what you thought. I've been thinking about renting it, but if it's not good, I don't want to waste the money on it.

8. Hello, hello, Miss Honey!
:hi::hug:
Well, the good thing about ME is that I don't gain weight. I can eat what I want and not have THAT problem, so I enjoy eating like that sometimes. I DID have a good time. I hope your day was good too!

I mean that you don't gain weight. And here I am trying to lose some pounds. And I love to eat.

my day was good also. I stayed a bit longer at work due to a meeting and afterwards talked to a friend of mine who was gone for a business trip. Had to find out all the spicy details from that trip :)

As far as me not gaining weight...I've always been that way. I understand that that can change as I get older, but so far so good. :7

When I lived in Missouri, we would get 26 inches without a second thought. It was very pretty coming down and then right after it quit. Then...people would drive over it, it would turn into slush and then re-freeze overnight so here you had a solid sheet of ice to try to drive on. :puke:

My cat has become somewhat of a lap cat for some reason. :shrug: It's a recent development that I just can't figure out. He didn't used to be that way. He'd avoid getting on your lap. But now...every time I sit down here at the computer, here he is jumping up on my lap and "prancing" to make a place to lay down. Crazy cat. :rofl:
