3. My friend was getting in line at 5:30 to get one for her son

It's the only thing her 13-year-old has requested, and he's a great kid. She objects, but rationalizes that he's been really well-behaved all year, and doesn't ask for much.

Read the fine print. Firstly, it's a 'pre-sale' listing, which means the guy listing it doesn't even have possession of it. I bet he went to get in line to get one, but there's no guarnatee that he will. Point is, that people are bidding on air. Secondly, since it's a pre-sale, and he even lists this in the fine print, an ebay pre-sale gives the seller 30 days to ship the item. 30 days.

If there are plenty of xbox 360's 29 days from now on store shelves for retail price, the winner of this is gonna feel mighty dumb.
