Some (digital) art for you all to let sink like a stone
I decided to try my hand at photomontage this weekend. This is what happened.

11. Yep, all Photoshop.
Select the layer you ant to have cast a shadow, fill it with black. use the various transformation tools (distort, perspective, skew, whatever) to get the angle you want, add a gaussian blur to whatever degree you wish, and play around with transparency and blending modes. This shadows are at around 75% with a hard light blend setting.

14. I've seen people using
Bryce/Cinema 4D/Carrara, etc. alltogether to do something like this but couldn't come up with this result.

As I said, I really like it. Thanks for sharing!

Glad you like it. I've got a poster of "Les Elephants" hanging on the wall behind me. I love Dali. I actually want to get the two elephants from that painting tattooed, one on each of my triceps.

28. Well, surrealism is always open for interpretation...
But for me it's sort of representative of death and the afterlife. (Even though I don't believe in the afterlife, haha, so the afterlife more as a concept.)

43. Are you familiar with the Tarot deck? Your pix reminds me of the
major arcana card, The Tower. Very cool. Deep stuff.
Shine

Check this out:
from: http://www.angelpaths.com/majors/tower.html

The Tower is numbered sixteen and shows a tower struck by lightning, with raging fires within and the top of the tower falling. There are usually figures falling, head-first, from the ruins.

The Tower shows us a basic fact of spiritual life - the power of the Gods can strike unexpectedly to break down all the long-established patterns and assumptions that we have taken for granted for so long.

Sometimes our limited vision of reality blocks our understanding and perception of truth. We begin to believe that the Tower - which we have been building higher and higher in order to reach the Gods - is the only reality. A cataclysmic force is needed to destroy this fantasy so as to allow us to recognise the powers which surround us. When this happens we must react with hope, letting go of our fears. The highest truths can now be realised.

The tree with the "flame cloud" is quite profound for me. Don't know why bare trees always make such a statement, at least to me.

Now, let's see more...
