HBO's Rome is a good show.
I know some people knock the historical value of it but I think it is a great show.

Anyone else agree?

1. My wife loves it. I've only seen one or two episodes, they were
ok, but didn't really draw me in.

5. I'll have to wait until it comes out on DVD, no cable
but David Milch is a genius. I can't wait to finally watch it.

10. They canceled "Carnivale"
To get the money to show "Rome"

It's a good show, but they never get forgiveness.

11. Rome is awesome
I love that HBO follows one great drama with another. Sopranos in March! can't wait. And The Wire and Deadwood later sometime in 2006.

12. Some great character studies and the milieu
as accurate as possible. It's impossible really to get every detail down pat since so much has been lost to history but they seem quite familiar with the times.

13. I liked the episode that had the slave with the big penis
I just couldn't stop thinking about the casting call for that, um, part.

But generally I don't like to get too involved with a TV series so I tend to avoid shows with continuing plot lines. Right now I'm involved with Deadwood so I don't have room for another TV relationship.
