"Expunge" is a funny word

You give a bandgeek a word. Any normal word. Any word at all.

And we turn it into something really, REALLY, REALLY wrong!

Now I have a mental image stuck in my head. I'm charging you for the mental windex used.

2. To "expunge",

must one first "punge"?

3. Only lawyers use that word

as far as I know. As in expunging a criminal record.
Another word only lawyers use: redact. It means to remove something from a document, such as by blacking it out.

I'm a lawyer and nobody I ever met outside of the profession ever heard of the word. If I use it inadvertently and a person looks confused, I immediately substitute "edit out" for "redact." :hi:
