A bit of advice would be appreciated...
I was playing the game City of Heroes for over a year. When City of Villains was announced I jumped at the chance to get the game. The store I bought it from said that as soon as the bonus disk was sent out the game could not be cancelled.

Fast forward a few weeks. The "bonus" disk arrives and is installed.

Fast forward again. We find out that the game has been changed significantly from what was originally discussed and the fact that some of the changes had been known about for 6 months but kept hidden from the players bothered me. I wrote to the companies that we ordered from (we got two copies of the game from two different stores) and told them that because the game we ordered was not the game we'd be getting we no longer wanted it. The first company sent a letter and cancelled the order with no problems.

The second company did not answer the mail and shipped the game, which is now sitting in the box it was shipped in unopened. I have been trying to get in contact with someone and they send a few messages here and there but with no resolution to the problem.

Someone suggested that I challenge the charge on my credit card if the company won't discuss it. I'd prefer not to do that but I also do not want the game since it's not the game that was being touted.

Suggestions?
