Pull the network cable out. Uninstall whatever it is. Reboot. Happy computing.

Do you have ports open in your router? (should be 4661 TCP & 4672 UDP).

Also, go into options, click on "Connection", and throttle your upload bandwidth to 10K. That ought to help.

At least that's the way I'm taking it.

7. can you throttle your upload speed? If all the downloaders are using

all of your upstream bandwidth, there is none available for you to make http requests (If I'm reading your question right).
