1. Easily the best science fiction I've ever read
Ms. LeGuin makes the absurd seem possible, even plausible.

I have the DVD; a well-done adaptation.

Jor-Jor. :7

6. I love it
I have the book, and the original PBS movie on DVD. I first saw it when it was first broadcast, and it put the hook in me. I never forgot it, and I never saw it again until I happened across the book earlier this year, then tracked down the DVD to watch it again. It was every bit as fantastic as I remembered it being.

Never saw the remake. Don't especially want to, either.
