1. I had an absolutely VILE Tarot reading/therapy session today.
I like it that my reader is honest. I don't like it that my reader makes too many assumptions about me and what I might/might not want when interpreting what the cards may or may not be suggesting. Today, assumptions galore. HAG.

3. somewhere in between...
I'm tired, I have a sore throat and a toothache, but I'm somehow still in a good mood. This probably has something to do with closing the bedroom door so I can't see how much paint there is left to strip off the moldings in the kitchen

14. Things are pretty good overall.
I'm pretty sure I'll have a job in January. I've got enough saved up to get me through until then and make up for the lower income. I'm planning a most excellent road trip out to SoCal, so I'm excited about that.

:)

15. Having a crappier than usual day...
Overloaded at works, too much to do for school, lots of stuff to do at home, and just got out of this week's installment of 'one of the shittier classes I've had to take'.

On the plus side, I have a warm house, a great family, food on the table, a job, and health insurance. So... all in all, not so bad.

Hope life is still treating you well! :)

22. Me == VERY very happy!
Went to the Dr. to check on my elevated blood pressure. Turns out it was normal and I didn't need to take meds for it.

I am closing on my old house in eight more days. As of last Friday I've washed my hands of it. What a relief.

Also, in eight more days, Sugar Smack is coming to visit!!! She's staying for five days, and gets to meet my family over Thanksgiving! It's her first visit to St. Paul and we're going to have a GREAT time!

Even the server crashes this morning couldn't spoil my mood. I haven't been this happy in years, and I'll shout it to the rooftops!

(But I'll remember to wear pants this time-- I promise.)

(can I call myself that?)

On one hand, I am absolutely livid at my work situation...working a 'part-time' job. Basically, I'm on call. My supervisor called with work today....for the 29th. Nothing until then. :grr:

On the other hand...I'm in a good mood...when I'm not thinking about the job. Kinda silly, actually.

Which is probably not even written correctly, but that's how my 11th grade French teacher told us to say it, and that's what I would really like, right now. Not gonna happen. I can express nothing else through the lovely French language, except to say "turn right," "turn left," "omelette," and I do have some counting skills.:P

57. I would looove to go there someday,
Edited on Tue Nov-15-05 12:05 AM by LaraMN
but I would be WAY too intimidated to do it if I didn't feel I had a reasonably strong grasp of the language. Semi-tangent, but I was at a parade in my town a few months ago, and I could hardly stand the irony, when a couple of English- mangling white men hopped out of a car exclaiming something along the lines of "I don't got no time for chasin' nobody's kids." On the back of the car, there was a bumper sticker stating, "Welcome to America- now speak English or leave." I was soo tempted to mock them, but they probably would have spit their chew in my face.

56. too true, friend...
Home is where I want to be
Pick me up and turn me round
I feel numb - born with a weak heart
I guess I must be having fun
The less we say about it the better
Make it up as we go along
Feet on the ground
Head in the sky
It's ok I know nothing's wrong...nothing

Hi yo I got plenty of time
Hi yo you got light in your eyes
And you're standing here beside me
I love the passing of time
Never for money
Always for love
Cover up and say goodnight...say goodnight

Home - is where I want to be
But I guess I'm already there
I come home - she lifted up her wings
Guess that this must be the place
I can't tell one from another
Did I find you, or you find me?
There was a time Before we were born
If someone asks, this where I'll be...where I'll be

Hi yo We drift in and out
Hi yo sing into my mouth
Out of all those kinds of people
You got a face with a view
I'm just an animal looking for a home
Share the same space for a minute or two
And you love me till my heart stops
Love me till I'm dead
Eyes that light up, eyes look through you
Cover up the blank spots
Hit me on the head Ah ooh

B-)
