Configuring Linux?
My friend, who is in the I/T field, says the only drawback that she can think of regarding the Mac is that Linux is sometimes tough to configure. Is she correct? And, what does she mean by that?

(I'm asking because she is not always responsive to emails in a timely fashion)

Thanks

1. Macs run OS X, which is a variant of UNIX
Linux is similar to OS X, but it is NOT the same.

Besides, Apple does most of the hard part for you. You can still access the command line and do UNIX-y commands, but you never need to. Your system is pre-configured to use, and you don't need to EVER use the command line if you don't want to.
