What "presents" (ie, tribute) does your cat bring to you
I told the story on another thread of Patches bringing live mice into my daughter's room - my daughter shook the cat until she dropped the mouse which ran off. This has occured on several occassions, twice with lizards that have gotten inside.

We used to have a siamese that acquired us. It would leave tribute at the front door and the back door. At the back door (in the garage) we would occassionally find large rodents laying on the mat. The front door was on the creek side of the house, and the cat would bring up large crawdads (sometimes known as crayfish) the size of small lobsters.

1. Merlin doesn't give us presents. He steals from us. Bright, shiny things
....like earrings, watches, rolled up pieces of tinfoil, and one time my glasses...and he hides them in a corner of our closet that we're not supposed to know about. And then, at night, he sleeps on them, so nobody takes them. But somehow, someone always does (except for the rolled up tinfoil) so he has to start all over. :hi:

2. We had a little manx named Bunny in high school
She had a habit of bringing my late stepfather pidgeons. My mother's cat, Clyde, would bring her lizards and mice (sometimes not quite dead) and line them up by the front door for her approval.

Finally my cat, Sushi the not-so bright, decided to get in on the hunter act. He started bringing me

baby socks. I loved him but he was dumb enough to be a dog. :eyes:

6. Miss Kitty and Baby Cat aren't into bringing presents, but Katie Cat
loves to bring LIVE mice into the house. The mice are usually slightly stunned, and Katie Cat loves to bat them around. I usually use my "mommy voice" and tell her to take it back outside, so she does.
