Now I have a mental image of the guy who came here from somewhere in New Jersey to work on a ranch. He insisted on wearing those damned spurs into town to take his wife grocery shopping. Couldn't sneak up on a dead rattlesnake.

His lovely wife would tell me of her phone conversations with her sister in New Jersey. During calving time, she had to cut a call short and explained to her sis that she had to help feed the few motherless calves. Her sister asked if it was hard to burp them.
