But I was thinking, with those insane and often just...over the top child flame war threads...how do you personally believe a child should behave (within reason) in public? What are the reasonable expectations? I've actally been thinking about this all night.

Other children and adults. And excessive screeching. It is kind of subjective, to a point. But after that point, look out!

In any event, I realize even the best children can act up, and a good parent will extricate themselves and the children out of the situation - whether it be restaurant, theater, grocery store, or what have you. The worst children, the ones consistently bad in public, are most likely the products of lazy parenting (I prefer 'lazy' to 'bad', because bad parents are the ones who neglect and/or abuse their children in realms beyond not teaching them manners and proper public behavior).

I urge we stop at this point, before we attract a flame fest... :yoiks: :hi:

15. Back in San Diego for the week

I didn't miss anything. I am tired of the juvenilia and cliqueishness of the Lounge (yep, that's right, I said it). I am FED UP. A friend of ours was hurt deeply, and the lines are drawn clearer and deeper than ever.
