Grandma's bragging rights: Photo of my little grandson.
Edited on Sat Nov-12-05 09:07 PM by Radio_Lady
Oohs and Aahs accepted gratiously.

I love this little guy. He's going to be five years old on December 1st, and he's going to have a "pirate" theme for his birthday.
He and his sister live in the same town with me and my husband.

This is his first showing on the Internet, except for his birth photo! He's the only brown-eyed, brown-haired grandchild out of ten of them, which makes him SO special!

1. He's adorable!
And, as the mother of a 5 year old boy, I must also say that he looks ornery!

3. Well, he does have a mind of his own and he tries to out-do his older
sister, age 7, all the time. He's much more daring and brave, too. He loves to dress up as a superhero -- any of them, Spiderman, Batman, Superman.

I wouldn't call him ornery, 'though. When he's away from his sister, he's really quite loving -- cuddly and snuggly.

What's your little boy like?

24. I meant ornery in a good way :-)
Mine is ornery- In a good way.

He loves Spongebob, Dora the Explorer, and The Weather Channel. He doesn't have any siblings, so he gets and eats up ALL the attention.

He is the only student in his kindergarten class who can read, and he thinks George Bush is a bad man, which he figured out on his own, NOT from me and hubby.

He's a good seed :-)

I will post a pic sometime once I'm back on my desktop computer where all my pics are.

5. None of your own, I assume? I'm enjoying being a grandmother.
It's quite a unique experience -- unfettered and truly fun.

Much better than being a mother, or a stepmother.

Grandpas are nice, too. Supposedly, those are some of the best things ever.

The child's name is Solomon and he attends a Jewish preschool in the area.

My two other grandsons in Salt Lake City are being raised as Mormons.

I'm the picture of the ecumenical grandmother -- I have to be!

20. Too old to have kids...
however, I do lavish waaay too much attention on the nieces and nephews. Feed them sugar and then send them home to their parents. Guess what I'm getting my newest niece for Christmas. Fisher Price Marching Band. That will teach my brother for ratting me out when he was 5 and I was 16 re: me smoking. Ha! Old age and treachery will beat youth and ability every time.

Here's my picture with my parents at about his age (circa 1945).

Any resemblance is purely genetic.

It's a Spiderman Pinball Machine. Something any child would want!

We'll be visiting the other two grandsons around New Years. They should be happy with this gift!

36. We have nine other grandkids, all blonds or light brown hair and
light eyes -- blue, green, gray.

This is the only kid with the brown/brown combination that my husband and I have. BTW, my husband is his STEP-grandfather. People used to think my kids from a previous marriage looked more like him than his own three kids did.

Weird, no?
