Computer question

Whenever I boot up my fax machine goes off and than the windows installer followers. And I keep getting a 1706 error. I was wondering if I am getting hacked because I do not use the fax application on my printer. Thanks. Danny.

1. That's odd.

The only thing that happens here is the toilet flushes.

2. there is a remote possibility

that your computer is trying to boot from a USB device, in this case your fax i'm assuming?

try disconnecting your fax from your computer, and any printers, etc, and then boot.

you can turn off uSB boot in your BIOS.

may not be the problem though.
