What one personal quality do you wish you possessed?
Edited on Sat Nov-12-05 07:42 PM by Heaven and Earth
I wish, I wish, I wish I was more disciplined. Then I would be successful at whatever I did. All my problems stem from laziness.

What about you?

1. I wish I were less obsessive about things......
Once I decide to think about something, I cannot get it out of my head .........

It makes me crazy.....and that doesn't take much!

15. You and me both.
My obsessions run like tape loops, repeating the same old bizarre memories of things that cannot be resolved - and don't matter to begin with, once you think about!

20. Exactly
and coupled with that, I wish I was more patient.

But more disciplined also seems like a quality I could use more of.

32. Oh no
Now I think I'm too trusting.

I give trust to people who don't earn it. :(

Seems like we have the same problem, Im the laziest most undisciplined person I know. Maybe we should start a support group.

4. I wish I was more optimistic.
Lately, it is a struggle to refine those all-important long-term goals, interests and priorities, because I have a hard time believing I will be here for the long term if things continue to go the way they have the past five years.

which has...nothing to do with what I posted. Here's a helpful piece of advice for the future: think first, respond second.

27. i tend to give people the benefit of the doubt...
but at the same time, I usually expect the worst out of people...

Most tend to think its because someones fucked me over in the past, but I think its more because I'd be willing to screw someone over, so I wouldn't expect less from someone else.

discipline can be developed, beauty is a matter of winning the genetic dice, you are fortunate to desire something that you can actually get if you really want it

37. tolerance
I have very little patience dealing with people. This manifests itself most clearly on campus. I cannot bear all the whining, the excuses, etc that I hear in and about my classes. Students balking at being expected to read a 3 page short story, having to *gasp* type an essay, "We have a test today?!" it is endless.... I want to scream at these people, "Why exactly did you sign up for this class?!!" I don't know how teachers/professors cope.

38. That sounds familiar
Whining is the favorite past time on my campus too, except it's more about how the school can't do anything right, they spend money on stupid projects without asking students first, and that there is never anything to do.

40. I wish I could ignor things or at least be oblivious of them......
I have an opinion on everything and I am passionate about it. So many people I work with never know anything that is going on and so they blissfully don't care. Sometimes I wish I could be like that, I think I would be happier.
