113. Thanks, Catshrink.
As best we can figure out, he's not really Siamese. Neither his mother, nor his father, are Siamese, though Ginger certainly came out with the color and markings. :shrug:

He talks when he wants something and, as an "only child," he never has to ask twice. :rofl:

24. Chester, Rosie and Delilah
Chester was a surprise gift born shortly after my wife adopted his mother, who like him was (she just died a month ago) voiceless. Rosie (pinkish cast to the face, and a voice that reminded me of O'Donnell) came for Christmas dinner in '97, sitting her skeletal self on my mother-in-law's doorstep as we sat down to eat. We adopted and named the itchy Delilah from a troubled household where she was rather inappropriately called Angel; since then she has been mellowing into a sweet kitty.

41. Tom, Clarisse, Ivan, Novi, Marilyn and Ingrid...
Edited on Sat Nov-12-05 01:00 PM by Flaxbee
Tom is an orange and white tabby, the 'lovingest' creature alive who wants nothing more than to eat grass, puke on the carpet and cuddle in my lap. He's the kitty love of my life, and attaches himself, barnacle-like, to me if I sit still for more than a minute;

Clarisse is a mostly white girl with calico tail and ears and a big black splotch on her hip, she is psycho and will purr and be sweet and then in a flash of a second, shred your hand and bite you. I rescued her from a shelter (all the others are strays) and she loves to groom my hair;

Ivan is an ENORMOUS tuxedo, he's 20lbs of muscle and his head is the size of a softball. He's very affectionate, farts a lot, has white whiskers that look like Salvador Dali's mustache, cries like a little baby if he wants something I haven't immediately given him (a HUGE cat with a tiny squeak), and he is IN LOVE with one of our other cats, Marilyn;

Novi is a tortoiseshell sweet girl who brought us three of her babies earlier this spring after we'd been feeding her for a month or so... she's spayed now, and eats like a horse. She's turning into a rotund cat, who loves to perch on your body in weird positions and dig her claws in so she doesn't fall off (if your legs are crossed, ankle-on-knee, she'll sit on the crossed leg, teetering on your shin and will bite you (very gently) if you try to remove her);

<*Hedy is Novi's grey baby girl with long hair, she was adopted immediately, and the only one we found a home for. I have secret plans to catnap her back; she is gorgeous and the only one of the kittens whom I never heard purr>;

Marilyn is Novi's long-haired orange tabby baby, she's got this amazing corona of fur around her neck and a huge, poufy tail. She's gorgeous, soft of an apricot color, playful, about 6 months old and just getting her belly fur back after being spayed. She's a very loooooong cat, it will be interesting to see what she looks like when she's done growing; her nickname is FlufferNut

Ingrid is Novi's short-haired orange and white tabby baby, looks very much like Tom so we call her "MiniMe". She's short haired, and her belly fur is almost all back post-spay. She loooooves to be held, she's a "weaver" and will wind her way between your legs as you try to walk, or stand at the sink, or whatever. She purrs if you look at her, and is more hesitant than her sister Marilyn, who will hurl herself full-bodied into a game, whereas Ingrid will sit and watch and plan and plot her next move.

Probably too much information for the initial request, but there you go. I LOVE MY BABIES!

edited for spelling, grammar, etc...

48. Two sister cats, born on Aug. 2 of last year,
which makes them both fire sign Leos. So we named them "Spark" and "Flame". :thumbsup: It seemed so fitting.

Flame has tortoise-shell markings with an actual flame marking on her forehead. Spark is a "torby', which means she has combo markings of both torty and tabby.

They're both quite beautiful and lively and their names are PERFECT for them.

Yes, she most certainly is sweet. Tippy is in the twilight of her life. I can see signs of her slowing down. Needless to say, super pampering is being done. She's gotten me through some pretty hard times, was always there for me, so now it's my turn. Funny how we treat our pets isn't it?

mira, aka crack kitty, is a little charcoal-colored short hair with really yellow eyes...she likes to tear around the house and attempt to scratch the door with the front paws with no claws

mia, aka tubby mclardass, is a giant lump o' cat...white with big grey splotches and the cutest little pink nose the color of a new eraser

sweetie - aka sweet pea or mama bitch kitty - is a little orange tabby i've had since she was six months old (i've had her for 8 years now) she is the feistiest, most agile cat i've ever had and i love her more than i've ever loved any living being...i hate being away from her, but i try to see her at least once a week. she's the smallest of the cats, but she is the alpha, even over our big male.

vega, one of sweetie's babies, is a kinda tortoise shell-looking short hair and has the most expressive face i've ever seen on a cat. the babies are now seven and a half years old...sigh...she was the runt and has shallow hip sockets, but now is a solidly-built cat (at least 12 or 13 pounds, but not fat) her back end doesn't like to always follow the front when she's walking and it can be kind of entertaining to watch. she is a fantastic lap cat.

pearl, aka princess, is the other of sweetie's babies. she's a very light grey tabby with a luxurious coat. we're pretty sure she was a concubine in a former life. she likes to just lay around on my dad's bed all day and if cats could be considered voluptuous, this one would be. she was hit by a car when she was little and lost one of her canines, so it looks like she's sneering a lot. she's really self-contained and doesn't come to us for attention a lot (if my dad and i are in the living room, the other three are on the couch with us)

and then there's my boy, yossarian, black with a white spot on his neck and one on his belly. at 14 or 15 pounds of muscle, he is still just like a little kid. he was part of a litter from a cat we rescued (these people up and left in the middle of the night, leaving several cats and a dog...we rescued another one, my marley boy...we had to put him down on 9/11...he is a testament to how love can heal anything given enough time). he's got to be 10 years old at this point, but the way he talks to me is still like he did when he was a kitten, but he is one scary dude sometimes...fast with very sharp claws

Samauri Mike is named for Mike Singletary of the '85 Chicago Bears (we call him Sam), Wrigley for the ballpark, Lucy was supposed to be Luis as in Luis Gonzales of the Diamondbacks but she turned out to be a girl. Then, since I had a Lucy, I needed a Ricky.

Their nicknames are Sammy Alabammy

Wrigglebutt Princess Lucy Peanut Butter Ricky Retardo or Mr. Attitude

116. Sunday Girl, Yogi, and Domino
Edited on Sun Nov-13-05 02:22 AM by Jamastiene
Sunday Girl is my oldest at 13 years old. She is the smartest cat I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. She knows several tricks and understands what I say. She is black and white. She suffers from inflamed bowel disease. Her intestines swell up and she cannot hold down food or take a crap without being on prednisone for the rest of her life.

Domino is almost solid black. She is 3 years old. She has a small white dot on her stomach. She is very smart, but will not do tricks. Poor thing has asthma. My step dad calls her "Don't touch me" because after my surgery (when I was staying at his house) he had to take care of her. She wouldn't let him touch her. She went into the pet carrier on her own. Just Don't touch me is her motto. I'll do it myself.

Yogi is gray with white feet and a white stomach and chin. He's sorta not the brightest cat in the world. He never learns. I don't know how many times I will have to move the dryer away from the wall, climb on top and rescue him after he runs so hard that he slides uncontrollably across the top and lands behind the thing. He has separation anxiety. He howls like a maniac and cries when I leave the house. He tries to keep me from lacing my shoes up. He wakes me up several times a night to be petted (him not me, mind outta the gutter :P .) He will not allow anyone else to touch him. When he is scolded for doing something wrong, he looks away as if he is looking for the next thing to get into. He usually gets into one thing right after the other until thankfully he drops in the middle of his last misdeed for the time being and sleeps. It is so quiet and peaceful when he sleeps. It's hard to look at him while he is sleeping and imagine that when he wakes up, he will be the same hell spawn he was the day before. I love him. What can I say?

135. Oliver and Sebastian
Oliver is a red tabby with white markings. I named him after Oliver Twist because when I met him at the shelter, he was this small kitten in a cage all by himself and he mewed at me. He looked like a little orphan and sounded like Oliver Twist asking for "more."

Sebastian is a medium-hair brown tabby, possibly with some Maine Coon in him. He was an adult cat who already was named Sebastian when I adopted as a companion for Oliver.

I love both of them dearly.

137. Here, kitty kitty . . .
The ten year old is named Caesar. He's a lovely domestic medium hair with gray and white fur (one gray foot, three white) and wonderful green eyes. Pity his voice is so annoying . . .

The seven year old (we think) is named Pompey. He's a wonderfully patterned brown tabby, also with green eyes. All three of us (me and my parents) think he's part Maine Coon. He certainly has the large build and tiny voice.

The funny thing is, Pompey consistently wins squabbles with Caesar. I'll post pictures as soon as I can get them onto the web.

154. Little
We meant to give her a real name, but we had a foster cat in the house, and we were constantly looking for "Andy and the little one" or wondering "why is the little one bothering Andy again?"

So Little One it was, shortening to The Little.

Embarrassing when the vet asks for "Little Edmonds" and her two giant humans stand up...
