Hey, Oregon DUers, I'm headed your way
I'll be in Portland Wednesday. After I deliver, gonna do some sales tax free Holiday shopping. Is there a Circuit City or Best Buy near the Flying J in Troutdale? Thanks in advance:bounce:

1. Welcome to the great rainy NW!
I'm sorry, I can't answer your shopping questions re: Circuit City, etc. However, did you know they have a big cluster of outlet stores in Woodburn?

:hi:

8. Parking lot is pretty big. I suggest the back side of the complex.
I love stopping there when I go to Oregon to see my family.

5. liberaltrucker, do you use a laptop while you're trucking?
Also, I'm not from Oregon, but I'd suggest shopping at a Costco if there is one near your stop. I have been getting some serious Christmas shopping done there.

Check costco.com for locations.

7. Sure do
My trusty Dell is on my steering wheel right now. Connected to the net via Verizon Wireless. BTW, I'm parked:rofl: Thanks for the advise about Costco. I deliver to them from time to time.

11. Costco is a very blue company.
That's one of the reasons why I like to shop there. What do you deliver there?

13. General merchandise
Usually TV's, DVD players, etc. I saw on buyblue.com that they're very blue. Unfortunately, there are none of their stores in Alabama.

12. Go to Powell's bookstore.... Get some books...
Then ask where The Roxy is. Eat there.. Ahhhh.. I love those two places. I wish I still lived up there.

This might not work well if you are driving a large truck.

Someday I'll take a day or two off and rent a car. I-5 from Medford to Canada is the most beautiful freeway in the USA:)

17. Take the time to drive up to Jensen Beach, last exit before the bridge

on I5. Go to the east side of the freeway. Big shopping center, lots of parking and the stores you want. I did a display there with my truck a couple months ago. The raceway is a couple exits down. Spent quite a few July weekends there when i was in Indy car.

You'll only be about 2 miles from Jubitz truckstop.
