4. Only if my couch is on the Earth and my refrigerator is on the Sun....
otherwise this can't possibly be true. Although we recently got a puppy that requires 32 trips outside every hour to go potty. But that would probably just get me to Mars and back.

7. Maybe the sun was relocated

I've seen the correct number quoted many times. It's generally estimated at 75 miles per year.

On edit: let me say I think that number is ridiculous in the opposite extreme. I think it was an old study but still quoted, probably improperly. Maybe it meant walking outside or recreational walking. If it means every step of the day or year, no chance it's only 1/4 mile per day.

8. Lets put it this way
I used to have a job where I walked a lot. Each day I wracked up about 7 miles on the job. We wore pedometers on occaisions just to rag on other departments about how much we had to walk. 7 miles a day 5 days a week... not even close to the sun.

13. That would come to almost 510,000 miles a day which would
mean we would have to walk at a speed of 21250 MPH. OTOH, it could be a trick statement.

14. ...
a marathon is a bit over 26 miles, so if one walked a marathon eavery day, they would walk about 9,490 miles in a year. So if one walked 9,800 marathons each day, one could walk the distance from the earth to the sun and a wee bit back.

26 x 365 = 9,490

93,000,000 / 9,490 = ~9,800

26 miles/marathon x 9,800 marathons/day = 254,800 miles/day
254,800 mpd x 365 days = 93,002,000 miles.

You people must just be lazy if you don't average somewhere near 9,800 marathons every day.

16. If that's the case...
(and I've seen 65,000 miles, but who knows...) the idjits mixed up the sun and the moon and the time-- but still would get it wrong.

At 115,000 per lifetime, that's just halfway to the moon.

But, I suspect their audience will barely make the round trip to the Sun&Moon Tavern.

As I posted earlier when I deep fired you in the fat of your own contradictions, if you just walk to the sun's atmosphere, walk no further. You are already there.

Apologies appreciated!
