Math odds challenge --based on age & birthdates--
I brought this up in a GD thread, but am now curious--What are the odds?

I was born in 1962, my Mom was born in 1926.
When I was 26, Mom was 62.
When I was 37, Mom was 73.
When I am 48, Mom will be 84.

My daughter was born in 1995. My husband was born in 1959.
When she was 04, husband was 40.
When she is 15, husband will be 51.

This sems to be all based on 11's & 37's.

1. I was born on March 7. So was my grandfather.
This year, I turned 18. He turned 80. Next March, I'll be 19 and he'll be 81. 19+81 = 100. My great grandmother was born on January 11, 1911 (read 1/11/11) My grandmother was born exactly at midnight.

Jus' sum stuph...

2. That is cool.. numbers are complex. My daughter & husband are math
whizzes & I am a math idiot, but I appreciate the beauty that can be created by manipulating numbers.

3. Weird (somewhat spooky) things about me and GrandpaZombie
First off, I was supposed to be born on March 14, but I arrived a week early. Needless to say, he was thrilled. I was born in a maternity center, not a hospital, so he actually delivered my head and shoulders, apparently.

Anyhow, my mom says that he and I share an inordinate amount of mannerism, like how we both talk with our hands and apparenly walk the same way. Bit weird. Anyhow, they say you should look to your maternal grandfather to see your future hairline, so if that's true, I shouldn't have to worry about going bald! :D

4. GrandpaZombie certainly had an early influence on your development.
I congratulate your grandpa for his obviously good role model for you and the gift of continued cranial hirsuteness!

6. We use a base ten number system
This sems to be all based on 11's & 37's.

You are very perceptive. It's called casting out nines or elevens and is the basis of many math puzzles, because our number system is based on ten.
