Hey Ms. Salin... "x did y to me..." I hear it at least 20 times a day - just after said speaker did some silly thing to x to provoke y action. :eyes:

Sadly - from time to time I see the same behavior from adults. Hey I do my part to try to curb this behavior in youngsters - but it seems rather hopeless when the adults (all the way up to those in power today) behave the same way.

*sigh*

5. I would hope so...
though these days I am not a traditional "teacher" (haven't done that, officially, for more than a decade) - but my work does involve a whole lot of interactions with kids.

In the informal sense (of teaching) I hope that I am good at it, the youth certainly deserve adults who can 'teach' them something of value.

7. heh - have "done" GD for years
and have had next to zero effect :D Except perhaps get some folks a little more versed, and thus willing to speak out on some of the issues related to the gosh awful provisions in the various enery bills before congress since '02. Of course that has nothing to do with the behavior in GD that can, indeed, mirror those I witness daily among the kids I work with.

9. I thought the "second infancy" was college.
I know how I acted in college. ME ME ME ME ME all the time.

And those I know who have gone on to get grad degrees, yes, from Important Programs, in Marketable Subjects, have reverted to the most childlike behavior I've ever seen. Sad, give that they're now in their mid-20s.
