I live with chronic pain (I'm the only person that's ever happened to), I'm only mildy disabled at the moment but may end up blind and in a wheelchair in the next few years (please pity me).

Of course, lots of people live with worse disabilities lead happy, fulfilling, contributive lives (damn those bastards! - they're ruining it for everyone else!)

Bitter? Pity me for that as well.

Chronic pain does suck. I have a progressive degenerative neurological disorder. It's effected my arms and legs and is starting in on my eyes. They don't know what's causing it so can't stop it. Even if they could stop it, they can't repair the damage already done. So it's only gonna get worse and I've been told by way too many doctors "Prepare yourself for what's coming".

I was really making fun of myself in that post - I give in to self pity all too often. But people succeed and triumph every day over worse things..... I just need to learn how to do that.
