1. Windows 98 is the operating system on my computer at home.
Maybe we'll get a new computer soon.

2. save your pennies and make one or have one made.. you can fix and upgrade
those.. there are lots of places but http://www.pcmech.com has a lot of info and a help forum..

so when the Pentium VI comes out all you have to do is get one and put it in, get some more memory etc..

my Compaq doesnt even have an AGP slot and only has 4 of the white ones.. i put in more memory but the computer cant run any more..what a waste

i am going to get a new box and mother board and use my hardware CD,CD/RW, 3 1/2 floppy till i can upgrade that....if ever, it woeks fine.. it is the board that sucks

3. Yes, I still have it ...
And I actually miss Win98, just for the security reasons. And I couldn't buy Win2000 anywhere.

5. I'm running 98
I just keep inserting it into different machines. I plan on moving up to xp eventually.

6. Slip Drives
I have removable hard drive bays so I just shutdown swap disks and reboot into 9 Linux, or XP. Cost is minimal, the bays and disks holders are cheap. Very easy to install.

8. That's what I do.... I change drives as needed.

I have Win98SE and WinXP Pro on different HDD's on the same machine and boot up to whichever one I need at the time. I still use Win98 because I have some older software and hardware that I use frequently that won't work with WinXP.
