My Fair Brady pisses me off!
I figure now that I've admitted to watching Breaking Bonaduce, I may as well own up to also checking in on My Fair Brady. This show isn't anywhere near as compelling than the Bonaduce's. If anything, it really pisses me off.

Why does that girl keep THROWING herself at Chris Knight? Come ON! Why do young women DO THIS to themselves, insist on committments from men that just aren't there?

It's so painful to watch. I don't know what the current status is of this show, as I get SO frustrated watching her DEMAND he marry her--I tire of it all and turn it off.

Why, why, why doesn't she just get a clue, an apt. and focus on her own life instead of him? Egad!

3. Hi bi_baby!
She's beautiful--she won that DUMB contest, but now has a career because of it. She could be pursuing her career, making big money and having so many different guys court HER. She could be seeing the world!! That's what I would do!!

She doesn't even see the opportunity she has at her fingertips--it's SO annoying!

I just don't get it...

2. And then, if he DOES finally "give in" and marry her,
she'll wake up soon enough and think: "Why did I want to marry this middle aged guy again?"

6. Yes, totally!
At least that's what happened to Rachel Hunter.

At the time, she was head over heels with Rod Stewart. But when you ask her now, why they broke up, she says she was too young...

I guess it's true, youth IS wasted on the young isn't it?

7. Does she even
LOOK at herself in the mirror, and really see herself?

Why are models SO insecure? She could do better.

Sure his house is fabulous, he's doing well--but he's lived so much of his life already, she should be getting her OWN.

:dunce:

12. You're an optimist!
LOL! You told me to! Seriously, I hope that you are right. It really bugs me to see young women chase men and not see their own worth. Maybe part of it is I was this way FAR too long...

I eventually GOT it, and didn't tolerate or want men that didn't want me.

I hate seeing women do this, though. I shouldn't assume she has any better models in her life than I did...

10. He's the immature one.
At his age, he shouldn't be so damned afraid to commit. I don't agree that he has lived so much of his life. I think he's let A LOT of his life pass him by because of his fears.

If you look at them closely, you can see that she is the mature one - she has direction, she has the ability to commit and she knows what she wants. He's acting like a teenager and the sooner she kicks his sorry ass to the curb for a more mature man, the better off she will be.

just dead on!

She DOES know EXACTLY what she wants.

He's a butt munch...

I just want to see her move on, while she has so much of HER life left!!! She says exactly what is up with him--but she hangs on and doesn't act on it...

15. She's hanging on because everytime she wants to let go,
Edited on Tue Oct-25-05 07:04 PM by JimmyJazz
he throws her some fuggin' Scooby snack to make her think there is hope for a future with him. For example: He claims he doesn't want to marry her, but goes to meet her father when he KNOWS full well the implication of that. How does he know? Because she TOLD him what it means to her.

Don't get me wrong. I'm not completely fond of her by any stretch, but I do think he is stringing her along and I find that to be one of the most reprehensible things one person can do to another.

16. I JUST saw THAT!
A lot of what I said earlier, was based on parts of a couple of episodes I've seen. They are showing several episodes back to back on VH1 right now--and I just saw EXACTLY what you speak of.

The girl goes out and buys a car while he's away--GOOD for her. It may have been better to go with someone that has shopped with a car before--but I applaud her effort to walk toward independence.

What does he do? He chastises her and tells her "NO! Not without me or my help?" :wtf: Do you want her to be independent or don't you? What a schmuck!

That IS bullshit--the parent meeting is on now. I agree, reprehensible to give anyone false hope--total bullshit!

20. Maybe he is just smarter then she is. Does anyone really think their
marriage would work out? Just because of the age difference, it would be doomed from the start.

21. I would agree with you, except that he is apparently
notorious for being non-commital in relationships. And, if he were being mature, then he would be pursuing someone his own age with similar interests. In other words, he wants to bang the hottie, string her along and not make any plans for his future. I dunno. That smacks of immaturity to me.

22. Well, seems like she is the one running after him. One wonders
why. As for him, how many middle aged men would turn down a young, good looking woman(I personally don't think she is all that, but still)?

18. it is so obvious that they have nothing in common...
He is way too old for her (attitude-wise). She always seems bored when she is spending lots of time with him. He comes off like a reaf fuddy-duddy. And he's never going to marry her.

If it wasn't on right before Breaking Bonaduce, I wouldn't watch it at all.

19. Breaking Bonaduce scares me
I wonder if he is in a dead pool, like DeadPoolDave or whatever.

The announcement of his demise would NOT be a surprise to anyone, I am thinking.
