We have to put our cat down
My daughter is going to freak out when she gets home from school. Not looking forward to telling her.

2. How old is your daughter?
And why do you have to do it?

I'm sorry - those are hard decisions.

4. Inoperable tumor
It pretty big, and he's quite weak. My daughter's 14 and very attached to the cat. I brought the x-ray home to show her.

3. That is never an easy thing to do... I have been through it a
couple of times before...

It helped me to be holding my cat when he passed....

6. Don't do it that way
"Not looking forward to telling her"?

Let her be part of it.... it won't be easy. But if she loves the cat and it loves her, she needs to be there. Don't do it and tell her about it later.

OK?

Khash.

8. Really What khash said
even go get her from school. This is important to her too. Let her stay home tomorrow and do something special. It's not just a cat.

9. Tough break. Bring her in on as much as possible.
That way you bond and no one is entitled to angry projections in the future.

11. Some vets will put them down at home
Around familiar things and smells. It usually only costs a little more....
