The Austrian women's magazine "die Wienerin" claims that several Austrian MPs are regularly sitting in the house literally too drunk to drive.
Leftist House Member Ulli Simer was cited saying, that drunken house members are no rarity: "In evening hours I have experienced several colleagues running up and down on the floor slightly drunk, wildly gesticulating and screaming.
Conservative House Member Fuhrman backed those claims saying, that she recognizes a whiff of alcohol quite regularly.

Sorry for the sloppy interpretation/Translation; I will supply an English link ASAP.

1. Perhaps GWB would feel right at home there
Any plans for him to address the Austrian Parliament during a future European tour? I'm sure he'd enjoy the experience

3. I doubt it
Although Austria is reigned by a extreme right coalition they were extremely Anti-War.
(Remember Haider (extreme right) meeting with Hussein?)
They even denied the use of their Airspace.

Women MPs in Austria say they have had enough of listening to drunken debates and have called for a ban on alcohol in the national legislature.

Brigid Weinzinger is a deputy with the opposition Greens.

She says she finds it unacceptable that some members take their seats with alchohol levels in their blood that would make it illegal for them to drive a car.
