I participated in two.

Once in high school (I think it was my junior year) I protested the naborhood schools bill, proposed by Waine Smith (Lynsinn probably knows who I'm talking about) that would in effect resgragate the schools. me and my dad held signs outside my high school

then last year I partisipated in the "wed-in" at UD. Whare we symboicly married someone of the same sex. I still have the fake marrige certificate and the ring. It's the first time I heard someone say "we are gathered here today because we are pissed off"

3. a few at Uni
one against tuition fees
one as part of the 'Drop the Debt' campaign
one I organized as part of the Ilisu Dam Campaign
one protesting the presence of BAE (arms dealers) at a careers fair
and a peace vigil I co-organized against the war in Afghanistan

and in London

the launch of the Trade Justice Movement
two marches against the war in Afghanistan

---

I love the idea of the 'wed-in'! Our little action group at uni (Nottingham's branch of 'People and Planet') thought about recreating the John & Yoko bed-in after 9-11, but we couldn't get permission.
