Edited on Mon Oct-17-05 01:53 PM by Shell Beau

And the Amityville Horror. Who else saw them and what did you think?

1. yes saw it
this weekend also and seemed to be a standard format for that genre. I would call it a "potboiler" for the stars to keep them in the public eye and continuing to make movies. All in all it was all right.

2. It seemed kind of long and still could have been more detailed
IMO. I got lost a couple of times. I don't know if it was the accents or sub-titles, but anyway, it had potential to be great but fell short.

3. I had a nice nap during The Interpreter
I have to remember not to watch movies after a bottle of wine, pizza with extra cheese and a fudge and caramel parfait!

I have to try watching it again.

6. i saw the interpreter too.
usually sean penn is too artsy-fartsy for me, and nicole kidman is just too damn annoying.

but somehow they made a decent movie together.

8. interesting that you say that, he's very non-hollywood (non-heath ledger)
was it the dark, brooding, 'need some lovin' thing, or is he just cute?

12. never saw fast times at ridgemont high.
i have been trying to watch mystic river, but everytime i find it on hbo, its half-way through the movie.

what soured me on sean penn, is when he made that "my name is sam" movie - it just seemed to be too much "social commentary" for my poor little brain to absorb.

13. I never saw that movie, but I can say that he is
phenomenal in Mystic River. That is a great movie and he just makes the movie. Tim Robbins is also great.

10. Saw it too...Liked it!
Main impressions:

- What an interesting accent! :P

- The UN building is cool looking!

- Tom Cruise is an IDIOT! (breathtaking blue eyes she has!) :9

- Sean Penn has a wrinkly forehead (and may be our greatest actor)

- SCARY Bus scene!!!! :o

- she is still pretty even when she is scary.

14. I watched Amityville Horror this weekend
The best part was oogling Ryan Reynolds in those low cut pajama bottoms. The movie itself was hardly scary. And I was expecting great things, since the first one scared the heck out of me.
