The same thing happened to me about a month ago. (See this thread.) I was laid off for almost exactly 2 months before I got the offer. It's a better job than I had before! And I'm still getting calls 2 or 3 times a week about my resume on Monster.com. A former co-worker, who also works in IT, and who's been out nearly 3 years, just got a job also. Maybe something is in the air. Isn't it funny how, as more and more people seem to lose confidence in Bush, more and more employers seem to gain confidence in hiring people. Maybe it's just a coincidence or maybe they realize that the country may soon be leaving bad times behind. (I also think that the IT industry is starting to realize that there are problems with outsourcing, let's hope that other industries start seeing the same thing.) But anyway ZombyWoof,:applause:CONGRATULATIONS:applause::beer::toast:. I'm up for a party. I don't know where you live but I'm in the Philadelphia area for anyone who wants to get together. If ZombyWoof and I don't live near each other than maybe we can have two simultaneous parties in different parts of the country. Maybe the two parties can phone congratulations to each other. Or maybe we can have some kind of online party with webcams.
