Philly DUers! I'm opening for Rebirth Brass Band SATURDAY! (Time update)

My regular band, The New Kings Of Rhythm (www.newkings.com ) will be opening for the legendary Rebirth Brass Band this Saturday night (October 15) at Rex's (www.rexsbar.com ) in West Chester, PA. We go on at ***9 PM***, and Rebirth goes on at 10. It's going to be a hell of a good time, as it's the first gig I've played with the guys in about 2 months. Come on out, won't you?

Just mentioning the schedule again:

If you guys are on at 9 and the other band is on at 10, we could be out and on the road home by a reasonable hour. Sadly, I'm now in the age cohort where going out at 10 isn't as appealing anymore....

If we make it, I'll come over and say hi to the caucasian keyboardist - me and the S.O. are easy to spot - I'm over 6' in heels, and he's about my size, with a weightlifter's physique. We're "the big couple" :-)

If we don't show, we'll be looking out for your next appearance in the Chestnut Hill/Mt. Airy/Germantown area, which is a lot closer.

I used to go see "those other guys" at the legendary Maple Leaf (which just happened to be in my neighborhood!). I even got to chat one of them up once. I asked how they managed to fill a large hall without amplification. His response: "Air power!"

We all could use some "air power" right now. Hopefully everyone in Philly will want to see those other guys badly enopugh that they'll come early and catch you!
