Hate to break it to you folks. I have never spent more than 20 bucks on a
case of beer...or a bottle of wine, for that matter. Call us rednecks, or classless or tacky...but I love my MGD man.

1. right on Mrs. G!
:applause:

I loves me some cheap beer. Drinking Miller Lite in bottles is fancy enough for special occasions, as far as I am concerned!

:hi:

:loveya:

it took having two kids to do it... but I actually buy it by choice now.

16. we grew up on 2% but I always drank whole when I could
(in my teenage years I was trying to gain weight, without any success) I switched to 1% when I was buying my own because it was 12 cents cheaper per gallon. Skim was probably cheaper still but it seemed watery to me. But I started drinking skim about fifteen years ago, and now 2% seems like cream, or sludge. You need a spoon for whole milk right? That's like having a glass of cottage cheese.

8. well that certainly explains the
grumpiness.

I do not understand the whole argument. Some people like Dr. Pepper, some don't. Some people like Dr. Thunder, and some don't. If people are happy drinking their Dr. Thunder, then why make fun of them just because you cannot stand it?

I do not like any beer, so your $6 bottle of Sam Adams or your 20 cent can of Special Export is all fermented horse pi$$ as far as I am concerned. Nor do I think my life would be improved if I were to imbibe depressants, but that is just me. To each their own. :toast:

10. There's no reason to spend over $10 on a bottle of wine
unless you are going to go for something spectacular and rare and spend hundreds.

There are lots of tasty and respectable wines in the $10 range.

11. Rock on!
Rarely do I spend much on beer or wine. Every so often I might buy an import or a higher class beer when I have company over(usually so they can try it too-we tend to be on the broke side most of the time) but that is a rarity.

14. I don't drink for the effect of alcohol.

I drink because I like the taste of beer. So I drink bottles of import stuff (or American "gourmet" brews). If I cared about the feeling of alcohol I'd buy cheaper stuff. But I don't. I don't drink wine, but I do drink liquor. And I buy the expensive stuff when I can (I'm in college, so I usuall can't).

Goes back to drinking Paulaner Salvator Double-Bock

15. I drink less good beer than cheap beer
I can either buy a six pack of Sierra Nevada for $8 or a case of MGD for $10, and I will typically drink less of the Sierra Nevada. So in a way it's a lot cheaper to drink a few high-quality beers than massive quantities of cheap beer.

Either that or I just smoke crack instead.

17. To be honest, there are many great beers under $20/case
It's once I start getting under $10 a case that I'm sacrificing taste for a cheap drunk & bad hangover!

19. Here's what we used to do when I was young...
We would buy a couple of Q's of Mic light...and then a case of Meijer "BEER" (that's all it said was "Beer")After the Q's it didn't really matter what we were drinking. :hi:

Yes, life in France is very, VERY good, especially in the fall during the wine sales.

The chestnut and mushroom festivals are all over the place this month too.

Dag nab it...

Yeah, the towns here are so ugly and run down, too...
