I was never good at spelling.
I remember my parents made a list of words that I misspelled a lot when I was writing thank-you notes after my bat mitzvah (as a reference not chastisement)I wrote them in pencil too but that was because of my handwriting.
but I didn't realize that spelling was that big an issue online.
