PARIS (AP) - Anna Wintour, editor in chief of Vogue magazine, was hit with a tofu pie by anti-fur demonstrators as she attended Paris fashion week.

Dan Mathews, vice president of People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, said the vegetarian tofu tart was retaliation for Vogue's decision to run fur ads while refusing to use PETA's anti-fur messages.

The animal rights group offered to pay the same fee, Mathews said.

Wintour, editor of the U.S. edition of Vogue, was hit with the tart as she waited to see the Chloe fashion show Saturday. It was the second time in a year that PETA has hit her with a pie.

1. While I do believe that publications should be able

to run what ads they want to, and turn down the ones that they don't (though they just label themselves when they do), I dislike that they say that PETA hit her with a pie. PETA didn't throw anything, an individual protesting her did. Now, unless PETA paid that person to specifically throw that at her, that's bullshit reporting.

I can't stand PETA, but I REALLY can't stand Wintour! But she does vote liberal, which shocked me to find out. But, I still don't like her.

BTW - it happened to her last year too! There are some pretty funny pictures of protestors jumping on runways too. Makes fashion shows more fun, lol
