Am I an INXS homer?
Really, I know that their "find a new singer for publicity sake and lots of money" was, well, not needed. Heck, I didn't watch one second of the show for that reason, but I downloaded the new song with the new guy from iTunes and it is not bad at all. He sounds like Michael Hutchence as well. I am now a tad excited to see what comes of this. I remember very well seeing INXS in 1985 at the Will Rogers Coliseum in Ft. Worth, Texas. I had front row seats. They were not well known and just beginning to get air play in the states at the time. You just knew they were going places. They were a very tight band and Michael Hutchence really knew how to play the crowd. Anyhow, I am now listening to all my INXS albums right now. Great band! Let's hope they have fun with whatever else they are doing.

1. If you had watched the show, you would have really been
disgusted by the new guy's attitude and the way the band favored him throughout the show. I know I was. I have always liked their music, but after seeing how they wasted the time of the other contestants after they had already clearly decided on this guy after the first week. And this is all despite the fact that he couldn't sing a single song they assigned to him without changing it. I was so disgusted by it all. There were clearly several other singers with better attitudes and better control of their voices.

If you like them, that's cool and all, but I am just filling you in on something that was hard to see. I, personally, won't be buying their latest because of it.

and at the same time expected. INXS have sold 30 million albums worldwide. They did not need to this to find a new singer. You are probably right. They knew who they wanted and did the show for money and publicity, which again, I feel was probably unnecessary.
