Dark chololate lovers check in

I couple months ago I was turned on to the "adult" taste of dark chocolate.

So far, my favs are Lindt's w/extreme orange and Ghirardelli's 70% cocoa.

Eating a couple squares of Lindt's 85% cocoa. Too much for me ... enjoyed 70%.

1. I like dark chocolate.

Of course, I also look like dark chocolate, so it's like a weird form of cannibalism for me.

2. That's the only real form.

I tend to go for Green and Black's. It's organic and fair-trade.

The chocolate 'hit' is so much more powerful, plus there's none of the nasty milky-sweetness.

The little Dove dark squares are pretty good. Whenever I make it to World Market, I like to buy some of the European brands.

11. Dark chocolate is good for your heart too

It has some of the same chemicals and anti-oxidants that red wine does. Dark chocolate contains more flavoniods than any other food -- including green tea, black tea, red wine, and blueberries.

I LOVE CHOCOLATE...it is a major food group in my pyramid!!!
I prefer the dark but, will eat the milk chocolate when necessary.
Funny thing is...after I eat dark chocolate I get a craving for milk..

13. It's the REAL chocolate

Don't let those milk-chocolate loving wusses get to you. There is ONLY dark chocolate.

We get some great Belgian dark chocolate at Trader Joe's, as well as chunks of Ghiradelli's dark chocolate. There are also some French-made bars there, and some Chilean, if I recall properly. They're all really good, but the big - 1 lb. - Belgian stuff is my favorite.

I never liked milk chocolate, even as a kid. It seems leave your mouth coated. Ick.
