Let the adventure begin! Kids are great. Just remember two things: Read to him a lot, and never, EVER talk 'baby talk" to a baby. they're a helluva lot smarter than we give them credit for, and they deserve to be treated with respect.

I've already been looking for books for him. He's two weeks old today. :D

46. Never too early. And when he gets older (about seven),

you MUST get him "The Twits" by Roald Dahl. The single greatest kid's book ever. You'll love it too.

And a bit earlier, when he's five or so, read him "The Leaf Men" by William Joyce. That book, in both writing and especially illustration, is nothing short of pure magic.

I didn't read kid's books when I was a kid, and that may make me appreciate the good ones all the more. These two are essential, right up there with Dr Seuss.
