1. i think some people don't get that...

she was kicked off because of the word FUCKERS, not because the entire staff of Southwest Airlines is pro-Bush.

and nothing can convince them otherwise.

democrats should be embarrassed that a democrat would be uncivilized enough to wear a shirt like that in public, where children are around.

While I personally wouldn't really care either way, I would if I had a child who would be reading it.

It is the word 'fuckers'. I have a shirt that say "Bush Eats Poop", but I only wear it to class. I don't think I'd get on a flight wearing it.

And as for a lawsuit? Please.

3. there was an article about this in the NYT today

they didn't want her to leave until passengers in Nevada complained. I thought that was interesting. And she even covered up the offending word. It all sounds ridiculously petty to me. :shrug:

If the shirt had "NIGGERS!" on it, and pictures of executed black men, all those DUers would be applauding SW Airlines and calling for a boycott of all other airlines in support of SouthWest.

If the shirt had "FUCKERS" (like it does) but had Democrats on it, those DUers would be applauding if the person was taken off the plane.

Sadly, even amongst liberals, consistency and rationality are not as common as we would like to think.
