After much knashing of teeth and rending of hair, hubby decided the hour and a half drive to work was not worth the expense of the gas money (especially since they refused to compensate him for his gas expenses--we only asked for $15/$20)and quit his job. His is the only income for the family (1 tot and me). Our money is tied up in investments and I risk serious penatly to take any out.He made just enough Tues. to even up my bank acct that was in the red. We have $22. He has been making calls/pulling strings all day and evening; we are waiting to see if he will have a new gig this weekend (he's a club DJ). I know it dosen't sound bad,and we have been through worse, but I had to borrow money to put diapers on my baby Mon. & gas to get him to work--that about killed me. Please send good energy our way.Usually something falls into place,but I am just a little worried. Trying to trust in the universe; I just think a little good energy helping that process along couln't hurt. Thanks you guys............

I've done something similar before, not because of gas prices, but because I was going insane at my job due to the crazy director, and had to get out. Quite without having another job, but got on at a temp agency within a week, so I was okay.
