A friend of my sister-in-law will not let her 3 year old daughter see her naked. She would never allow the girl to take a bath with her either. She said this puts lesbian thoughts in the child's head. And she told my S-in-L that it was unhealthy for her to let my niece take baths with her and also unhealthy for my 3 year old niece and 1 year old nephew to take a bath with each other. WTF?

If a guy has intercourse with a pregnant woman, the kid will be born gay (assuming the fetus is male of course. There was no explanation if the fetus is female).

BTW... this was told to me by someone I work with as he was told by his father. Neither of them are fundies, but the old man was an old world Italian type (meaning he bought into the whole thing with curses and old wives tales).

16. The old man was a howl.

He was about 5' tall, yet would think nothing about fighting guys twice his size. Up until the time he died when he was 90 something, he'd be ogling 18-20 somethings and making comments about what kind of fun he could have with them. He almost burned the family house down one time
because he tried to get rid of a large paper wasp nest by lighting it on fire.

I don't think it was out of ignorance or prejudice. He came over to this country in the 1920's when he was a young kid and he grew up in Bostons North End (Italian section). So, I'm guessing it was more of a cultural thing.

BTW... his son wasn't like that, he thought his old man was out of his mind too.

11. Okay, let me get this straight

It's bad for girl children to see an adult woman naked because they will get "lesbian thoughts".

But it's also bad for her to take a bath with her 1 year old brother because.... why? I would think this would be good, re-inforcing those "heterosexual thoughts".

12. here's an insane fundie story

the adult leaders of this christian group (cult) on my campus have this 2 year old son. At one of their meetings (yes, i temporarily bought into them, but got out) i overheard the guy "Larry" talk about how he views his son. well, larry believes that his son has the intellect of an adolesent or teenager. and apparently the bible says that parents are like the voice of God to their children. so, Larry has come to the conclusion that when his son disobeys him, he is doing it willfully and in spite of him. What's more horrifying is that Larry also believes that because he is the voice of God to his son, his son is also WILLFULLY DISOBEYING GOD!!!!! :wtf:

may i remind you that his son is a mere TWO YEARS OLD!!!!

And then I've read posts and books that address the situation of kissing your child on the lips. That at a certain age like (1 year old) some people feel that kissing a person on the lips is not good. Give me a break!

a falling out with the couple they were going to list on their wills as guardians for their children if something should happen to them.

After they were done telling us this story the wife added, "It's just as well...they aren't 'Christians' anyhow."
