2. The three main ones would be...
To get my degree (maybe get my masters or even doctorate) and go into politics and try to affect some positive change in the world. (I'm studying political science.)

To start a clothing company with the plan of keeping it 100% sweatshop free.

And to get into the world of filmmaking as a writer/director/cinematographer.

7. your particular dreams are so lovely
and I do hope you attain each one. I never reached grad school but my daughter is working on her master's (and she is a TA - she lets me attend her classes occasionally - so I can experience it through her.) I went through a divorce - but then married my high school sweetie - we have been so happy for 17 years. And I have had a few cats for the entirety of their lives (Hooter, Mercy, & Rupert Anne.) At this point in my life my dream is to be a loving grammie to my beautiful new grandaughter, Noelle - appreciate all the wonderful friends I have gathered over the years - and patiently await my husband's retirement so we can come up with even more dreams!

16. Hi Lionesspriyanka!
Here are some of my dreams: I want to watch my children grow up and know I've done a good job raising them. I want to stay married and in love with my man, til death do us part. I want to feel at peace within myself and be of service in whatever way I can. I want to always remember that I am loved, even when I sometimes forget. I want to help others to remember this, as well. I want to keep my heart open as much as possible.

:hi:

23. Originally, to travel without ever stopping
I don't feel alive unless I'm on the road, moving around, seeing things...

Unfortunately, I can't just get up and go like I so desperately want to. The limits placed on us all by society and everything are quite annoying to those of us that don't like the fact that people think they own the land and bounties of this earth. I long to be impulsive, and to escape the proceedure that is life for us nowadays, but to even start you have to break some of the 'laws'.

I digress though.

I fly to New York on Monday. I'm hopefully getting Greek (European) citizenship - dual citizenship with the US. I've been saving money for a while to travel as I've worked on and off since graduating from high school (a few years ago) with a warped mind. I've taken some expenses hits, and will be taking more before I'm done, but I've been offered a few week job in Key West so I think I'm going to take that upon returning this week.

I've been teaching myself Swedish recently, as I'm set to (if the citizenship goes through) head off to Sweden to visit some of my friends there. They're great, great people - I love Swedes. This is my start, hopefully. With European citizenship I will be able to travel around freely and stay where I want to in Europe, so I really do hope it goes through. It would be a great experience, and give me even more perspective on things.

I'm also obsessed with science, philosophy, mathematics, history, nature, and learning in general. My strong convictions and opinions (which do change and are sometimes too-idealistic) will probably lead me into some form of politics or at least heavy writing some day. Basically, I want to do everything, and be a modern day renaissance man or something crazy like that.

As for love and all that jazz, I long for it, and wish that a bond between two people could be as strong as our ideal of 'marriage' is. My relationships with people have been different though, and I dislike what marriage has become, but I certainly keep all options open. Most people just don't stay interesting, but I do have some long-standing relationships that have held strong regardless of how much we have changed. Perhaps it is *because* we have changed so much, though. I need both a challenge and to be able to challenge the other person, though. It's tough. ;)

In any case, I've realized I probably will become overly-cynical at some point and turn from society altogether, so I won't mind settling down somewhere as:

A fisherman in Iceland, fishing for my food
or:
An apple orchard farmer in New Zealand

You know - gotta be flexible!

Wow um... you asked for my dreams, not a bio. Sorry! I just don't know when to quit sometimes... I could keep on this subject forever. :)

25. To try to bring some sanity to American politics
I am lucky - I already have the PhD, tenure, and a wonderful wife who also has a PhD and tenure. We have a nice home and great friends. But Bush's sorry ass has got to go!

We'd like to travel more and continue to be lifelong learners. Continue to enjoy life. Grow spiritually.
