Powerful Typhoon Longwang, packing 140 mph maximum sustained winds, will slice across Taiwan, bringing a dangerous storm surge to the Pacific side of the island, as well as destructive winds. The typhoon is expected to make a second landfall in southeast China Sunday morning, eastern U.S. time. Damage to structures and heavy flooding rains are expected along the path of Longwang.
