Poll question: Pet Psychics... Genuine Or Fraud?
http://www.animalstalk.com/

Do you ever wonder what your animals are saying to you? Do you even wish you knew what they were thinking or why they have a unique behavior? Internationally acclaimed Animal Psychic Barbara Morrison has helped thousands of pet owners worldwide to gain a greater sense of understanding and appreciation for their pets by using her ability to communicate with animals. As a pet psychic and pet whisper she lets an animal know she is listening to them, then they often have many things to say.

Sometimes this work is called interspecies or animal telepathy but it is about counseling the owners and connecting with the spirit of the animal to express the issue at hand and to recommend solutions when it is appropriate.

2. So The Psychic Asks...
"What's your dog's name?"

And I'm thinking to myself... *you're* the psychic... why don't you just let her tell you herself?

3. I think some people may be more connected to animals
in some way, but people are so gullible that scammers thrive on that.

5. Give me a fucking break.
Hell, you might as well just throw your money right out the window instead of paying someone to "counsel the owners and connect with the spirit of the animal"

The idea of "pet psychics" is patently idiotic and absurd.

9. Read the book Animal Talk
by Penelope ???, a few years ago which I enjoyed.

A couple of the stories were about whales, which I absolutely believe.

Maybe I would feel different if I did'nt have an experience with a psychic several years ago. This woman blew my mind.

But there is tonnes of fraud out there.

11. People desperately have a need
To have control of their environment or believe that someone does. That things happen for a reason and that someone can relate that to them. Thus there has ever been individuals stepping in to meet that need whether it is true or not. Its called the confidence game. Because what they are selling is confidence. Confidence that someone has things under control. Its called a con for short.

13. I think some people have SOME sort of psychic ability
Edited on Fri Sep-30-05 11:10 AM by kick-ass-bob
but it is nowhere near perfect (like John Edward talking to the dead) :eyes:

and very difficult to get a grasp of.

I think some of the psychics like ones that work with cops are real - because they have some insights and get pieces correct (with no info on the victim/case/etc)

But most, I believe, play on your reactions and information they can get from watching you and your behaviors. (like a pet psychic, for example)

14. There has never been a crime that a psychic officially solved
James Randy has looked high and low, never found a single case where the psychic found the missing person or solved the murder, etc.

15. "officially solved"
being a key phrase.

You aren't going to convince me that some people can't have an extra sense and connection to other people - because we are all interconnected.

Just as I could tell when something went horribly wrong with a close friend of mine before I found out about it, I think others have a some sort of the same ability. I woke up in a cold sweat thinking about them, minutes before they called and said their baby died during delivery.

I have never had any other such feeling, so it's not that I worry about people all the time in general.

16. 'Kay. Here's my take. Animals get really in tune with us if they
know us or can sense we are kind. Are pets psychic? Yes, to some degree. The "pet psychic" people who charge a person cold hard cash to tell them what their pet is thinking is taking their money and the only thing they can see that the person paying them can't is the word, "Sucker" written on their forehead.

17. well let me see..
I have a cat sitting on my knee flicking her tail... I don't need a psychic to tell me that she's thinking "move that fucking leg one more time and I shall bite through your blue jeans".... maybe I should become a pet psychic!

lol

Edited on Fri Sep-30-05 11:55 AM by Ladyhawk
It's nothing but a load of hooey and I truly feel sorry for people who have a strong need to believe in things that just aren't true. Beware especially of that which you want to believe.

21. I have always figured "psychics" are either straight-up frauds
or people with very good intuitive skills. People who are really good at reading non-verbal signals, for example.

Some of them can offer some insight.

But many of them are just in it for an easy buck.

22. Stare into her eyes...

I don't see sincerity.

She's either a nut or a swindler. Maybe both.

She's better off taking those dogs and making a stew out of them. And she wouldn't have to change her facial expression afterwards either.
