Chocolate and Goat Cheese
Who'd have thought the combination would be so delicious? Especially when sandwiched between two pieces of angel food cake and a slathering of raspberry jam.

Anyone else stumble upon an unusual food pairing lately?

2. Gracious no!
Next one's a grand child.

I would never have purchased this product on my own. The chocolate goat cheese is courtesy of my strange epicurean husband. And as far as I know he isn't pregnant either.

3. LOL!

Oh, I know what you mean with the epicurean influences and all the "foodies"! I live in a town that's full of them!

Now, strange combinations- I like to put potato chips IN sandwiches and crush them down. When I was still a fast-food hound, I'd open the burger up and put french fries inside.

I'd take fries with an equal mix of ketchup and mayonnaise.

When I didn't have money, I'd make bean sandwiches on white bread- a little mayo, pork n' beans, and lots of pepper!

I'll post more as I remember them.

4. That potato chip thing reminds me...
there's a sandwich shop around the corner from me that puts Fritos on its smoked turkey sandwich. It sounded stupid when I first read it on the menu, but damn, it's good.

5. There's something about that obscene *crunch*
that you wouldn't ordinarily associate with biting into a sandwich, save for the lettuce or onions. I appreciate texture only after taste. I love doing that (the chip routine) and I don't care if there are spectators, I'll do it anyway without apology. In fact, if someone says something crazy like, "You put chips in your sandwich?" I'll look at them as though they're utter rubes.
