WTF is wrong with the kids they profile? And their parents?

These parents throw these elaborate, decadent parties and the kids are ungrateful brats.

End line of this episode: "Nobody's ever going to top my party, so try it, bitches."

Anybody ever watch this show? I found it atstounding.

1. There was one girl who started crying because she didn't get a Range Rover

on her birthday... yikes. She eventually did get one, at her party. Unbelievable.

3. Those girls all need to spend some time living with the poor

and then they need beatings. that is one of the most obnoxious self absorbed group of catty girls i've ever seen. I can't believe they agreed to do this show.

but spending some time living with a poor family, like a month or so, might knock the bratiness out of them.

Their self-obsessed, so of course they would agree to a do the show. After all, they are entitled to their own TV episode.

I've seen parts of two or three eps, and each time I had to turn it because those were the most self-indulgent, superficial, bratty girls I've even seen.

And their parents are encouraging their behavior.

Disgusting. That's the sort of thing you hope isn't put into the USA time capsule, you know?

I was just flipping the channels and came across it. And then, it was like a train wreck.

12. I've seen parts of that show. It's sick.

First of all, these girls invest their entire self-worth in a silly party. They obsess over trivial issues and berate their parents. They're selfish and mean-spirited.

I wonder how these girls view themselves, after watching the episodes.

13. On the last season

they had one girl who's parents spent $450,000 on her party. This girl brought a few friends from New Mexico (when she was living among the middle-class) to California just so they can go back to NM and tell her ex-classmates about her new lifestyle and party.

I have been to many elaborate parties, but hardly found the need to have such a party for myself.

I don't see anything wrong with spending the money for such a party if the parents are that well off to afford it. However, I don't condone the attitude that a lot of these girls show to their parents.

There was a gay boy who was on last week. He was probably the most respectful and kind person this show has featured since it started. You could tell he was very thankful and gracious when his parents gave him a $55,000 BMW for his gift.

14. The girls on that show are spoiled brats.

I feel like slapping them every time I see that show.

Ungrateful they are!

15. The amount of money spent on some of these parties is pretty appalling.

But it pales in comparison to the self-centered, nasty attitudes of the brats portrayed on this program.

The worst one for me was the girl named Jazmin, who used to be a poor foster kid but got adopted by a really rich family. You'd think she'd be kind, and thoughtful about the feelings of others who weren't so fortunate, and grateful for what she had now, etc. But she wasn't. She was the meanest, most self-centered brat they've ever had on the program. It was like the lesson she took away from being poor and stigmatized was "rub other people's noses in your privilege before they can do it to you". She seemed pathologically obsessed with status, and she and her new rich friends seemed to get off on being horribly cruel to other other people. It was awful. Watching that episode made me feel a little ill, actually. I kept thinking about what a person like that would do as an adult with all that power and money - those are the kind of people that can really make the world bad in a major way, spreading evil and pain and nastiness everywhere they go. I am afraid for that girl's soul, and I am afraid for the rest of us with people like her in the world.

I do have to wonder if some of these kids will be horribly embarrassed later by their appalling behavior on this program. Or if they even realize how they come off to other people.

...and I found it, among other things, absolutely appalling.
