Verifiable hauntings from near your home.
I grew up a couple miles away from where Resurrection Mary haunts.

Resurrection Mary
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia.

Resurrection Mary is a famous ghost story and is considered by many to be the original hitchhiker ghost story. It takes place around the Chicago area in Justice, Illinois. Many travelers down Archer Avenue a street which runs through the city of Chicago and its South Suburbs have reported seeing a young blonde girl walking by, some who have seen her have claimed to even have given her a ride. The girl is said to be very quiet once picked up and disappears once the driver passes the gates of Resurrection Cemetary in Justice Illinois.

Legend

The legend of Resurrection Mary is that she was a young polish girl who went to dance in the early 1930s at the O'Henry Ballroom (now known as the Willowbrook). She got into an argument with a young man who accompanied her there and decided to walk home, while walking home she was hit by a car while walking down Archer Avenue and was soon buried in nearby Resurrection Cemetary. From that time on many would see her walking down archer avenue only to see her disappear.

Reports of Mary have been going on for years but seem to have stopped around the early 1980s when Archer Avenue underwent severe construction. The original road that Mary is said to have walked down has since been raised and changed and that may have stopped the walking of her spirit. Despite this reports still show up occasionally from people seen the apparition walking from time to time. She has also reportedley burned her handprints into the gate at the cemetary. These prints apparently could not be painted over until the fence was removed.

1. I learned how to drive in this cemetary.
My mom figured it was a safe place.

Just a little kick since no one responded last night.

2. One thing I hope to see in my lifetime is a ghost.
It'll assure me that there may be some kind of afterlife.

Until then, I remain a skeptic.

3. My girlfriends aunt and uncle say they used to live in a house
haunted by the ghosts of an old lady and a little boy. They saw and heard both of the ghosts.

I've never been one to believe such stories, but then they sold the house. OF course they did not mention the ghosts to the buyer, who trasformed it into a mud bath parlor or somethign.

Well, turns out they and their clients would sometimes see the ghosts. They even hired a medium to send them away into the next life or something.
Freaky stuff.

5. My aunt has had a ghost in her home.
He was very active for a while then stopped when she insisted that she(aunt) did not want this. That was a couple years ago.

Philly and New Hope. Around me, there are some old places in Skippack that are supposedly haunted, one of which I dined at (Road House Grille.) The college I went to, Ursinus College, supposedly has ghosts in Hobson Hall. One is a ghost named Terri, who died during her senior year in the building. The other one is a boy who died in a car accident in the street in front of Hobson. Both are harmless ghosts. Also, the Shadowlands website lists Limerick's Nuclear Power Generator as haunted by a worker who fell to his death during construction. As long as he doesn't play with the controls, I don't care.
